Having worked in the field of brain injury for many years, we [Mandy Newman and Michelle McEnroe] are delighted to introduce you to our new venture; the Kingly Care Partnership.

Throughout our working lives we have developed a strong personal drive and enthusiasm to help survivors of brain injuries and this has evolved into a desire to develop a service which incorporates our values and experience: One where excellence and the wish to provide a first class service are matched only by the commitment of the team involved.

Through our journey to set up our own specialist care service, 3 very clear objectives became apparent:

  1. Find an ideal location
  2. Find the right building
  3. Build a team we can be proud of

Many months of searching thereby followed, during which we attempted to satisfy all three of our objectives. We knew the importance of finding the right building, but the need for this to be close to local amenities, enabling ease of access for potential Residents’ to the wider community, was of equal importance.

We knew the very moment we stepped into Kingly House that we had found our perfect building and location, marvelling at the stroke of luck that had led us to this find!

However, despite two of our prerequisites having been fulfilled, the third still required attention.  We had long since recognised that it is the team who can make or break any venture and as such we intended to build as strong a team as possible. With a core group of individuals having already pledged their commitment and support to our project, we now intended to expand upon this staff base, adding those with relevant skills, personality along with the inherent desire to ‘go that extra mile’ in making a genuine difference to the lives of those Residents’ within our care.

In assembling a team, we appreciate that it is both the leadership and the approach advocated that is paramount in forging and maintaining the enduring cohesion of that team. From the outset, we were clear that we both wanted to (and would) actively fulfil this leadership role, working alongside our team on a day to day basis. Through this ‘hands on’ approach to both supporting our Residents’ and our staff team, we can ensure that our values feed directly into the climate of the home.

Our approach is straightforward.

"We do what we say we are going to do"

Without this feature, we would fail to earn the respect and trust of our Residents’, their families, purchasers and our peers – in short all who come into contact with the Kingly Care Partnership.

Throughout the course of establishing the Kingly Care Partnership and Kingly House, we have received a wealth of support and encouragement from many quarters for which we would both like to give a heartfelt ‘thank you’.
